Kkakdugi — also known as Korean radish kimchi — is said to have been created accidentally by Korean Princess Sukseon in the 17th century, and theaped with praise by her father, the king. Thanks to her invention — and Heyday food kits — now you can enjoy heaping servings of kkakdugi that you ferment at home.

It’s a crunchy, mildly spicy snack or side dish that goes great with other Asian fare. Like our traditional kimchi food kit, it’s spiced with gochugaru. Hot peppers are included in case you want to turn up the heat.
